Overview

In this role, you build and operate scalable AWS infrastructure to support Portfolio Management services for Fixed Income. You’ll work with a cross-functional team to ensure reliability and production readiness at scale, primarily through a Terraform-driven AWS estate. You can grow into server-side development in Java or Kotlin (Spring Boot) while contributing to infrastructure and application layers. You will leverage observability and CI/CD practices to continuously improve system hygiene and resilience. This role offers a meaningful impact on financial technology and the opportunity to shape cloud infrastructure at JPMorganChase.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain scalable, resilient AWS infrastructure using Terraform in modular stacks (EKS, RDS, S3, EFS, MSK, KMS, Secrets Manager, EventBridge, SNS, CloudWatch, Lambda)
  • Manage Amazon EKS lifecycle: upgrades, node groups, add-ons, remediation with minimal production disruption
  • Monitor and support AWS estate health: triage, RCAs, remediation; participate in incident/problem management
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) for safe, reliable infrastructure changes
  • Instrument the estate for observability with Datadog, CloudWatch, Dynatrace and use telemetry to improve hygiene
  • Leverage enterprise AI capabilities to assist design, testing, and documentation with strong validation and data handling
  • Contribute to server-side development on Spectrum Portfolio Management Fixed Income using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot as skills grow

Key requirements
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
  • Foundational experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Working knowledge of core AWS services (EC2/VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, KMS, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch)
  • Foundational experience with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes
  • Practical experience with AWS in production or near-production environments
  • Familiarity with observability, incident management in distributed systems
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted code usage with validation and data security awareness
  • Ability to review and validate AI-assisted code and recommendations
