Software Engineer II - Full Stack - Web Engineering

In this role you will own meaningful parts of elastic.co, building features and infrastructure to keep the site fast and reliable at scale. You will work across the full stack, from React components to backend services, and take ownership of production behavior including on-call and security triage. You’ll collaborate with product, design, and engineering peers to ship high-quality features in a distributed, async-first environment. You’ll also contribute to performance, reliability, and security that power Elastic’s AI-enabled search platform. This is an opportunity to shape critical web experiences at scale and across teams.

• Own end-to-end features across the full stack, from UI components to backend services and deployment pipelines
• Instrument client performance and align it with backend logging, metrics, tracing, and dashboards
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to build, test, and release features
• Write clean, maintainable production code and own its behavior
• Triage, investigate, and resolve security vulnerabilities from reproduction to disclosure
• Participate in code reviews and diagnose production issues across client and server
• Be part of an on-call rotation for an always-on service

• 3+ years in a full-stack or frontend role with strong TypeScript and React depth
• Backend experience with Node.js, Python, or Go and production service ownership
• Experience owning CI/CD pipelines end-to-end (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent)
• Proven ability to use AI to accelerate development and debugging while owning outcomes
• Experience building for high availability and scalability with secure coding practices
• Ability to work autonomously in a globally distributed team
