Software Engineer II, Google Search, Mobile Android

In this role, you will contribute to the Android Search App frontend, collaborating with PMs and UX partners to deliver features. You’ll implement testsable code with guidance from senior engineers and ensure quality across multiple environments. You will triage issues, manage your work to meet deadlines, and proactively communicate progress while addressing technical challenges. You’ll also leverage AI development tools to optimize daily workflows and help shape scalable, user-friendly search experiences for billions of users.

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners (PM, UX) on team projects
• Implement features with guidance from senior engineers and write high-quality, testable code
• Test features across environment stages (teamfood, dogfood, production) and assist in issue triage
• Manage own workload to meet deadlines and escalate technical challenges as needed
• Leverage AI development tools to optimize daily workflows

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent practical experience
• 1 year of software development experience in one or more languages (Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript)
• 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms
• 1 year of Android application development experience
