Software Engineer II, Security

In this role you will help bridge security engineering with compliance to streamline vulnerability management and enable secure product development. You will influence architecture decisions and drive scalable, maintainable security solutions within a fast-paced team. You’ll work on security tooling for the SDLC, contribute to risk assessment and threat modelling, and mentor teammates. This is a hands-on position with meaningful impact on product security and incident response.

• Identify and pilot new security tooling for the SDLC, with a focus on AI space
• Advise engineers on secure-by-design practices
• Maintain security data products (SBOM, asset inventory, cloud infrastructure, SIEM)
• Monitor, triage, and escalate cybersecurity threats; document IoCs
• Perform security assessments and collaborate with engineering to remediate issues
• Generate reports and provide training and support to teams

• 2-3 years of relevant work experience in security roles
• Programming: Java, Python, Go
• AWS security tools experience (Security Hub, IAM)
• Knowledge of risk assessment, threat modelling, OWASP Top 10, encryption theory
• Understanding of secure development best practices
• Continuous integration and deployment tools
• Proficiency with Linux environments
