Overview

As a Software Engineer at Google, you work on next-generation Android platform security and related systems. You may contribute to design reviews and select technologies across teams, influencing both kernel-level work and Android app development. You’ll engage with partners to align engineering outcomes with stakeholders and scale security features for billions of devices. You will operate across the full stack, solving complex problems from low-level OS work to user-facing experiences, with a focus on robust, trusted software.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in or lead design reviews to decide among available technologies
  • Perform low-level OS and kernel development work to add new functionality in the Trusty OS
  • Maintain full-stack flexibility across Android system areas and contribute to cross-team projects
  • Engage partners and vendors to ensure alignment with stakeholders and project goals
Key requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of software development in one or more programming languages or 1 year with advanced degree
  • 2 years of Android application development
