Overview

In this role you will help shape the cloud-native platform that powers JPMorganChase products. You’ll work with experienced engineers to design, build, and operate scalable infrastructure that enables rapid, safe product iterations. You’ll contribute to secure, automated, and self-service platform capabilities and participate in incident response and continuous improvement. This role offers growth in platform engineering within a collaborative, diverse team that values initiative and impact. You will be part of a mission-driven effort to advance banking technology at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Develop secure, production-grade code and participate in code reviews
  • Contribute to design and development of composable infrastructure for developer productivity
  • Build, operate, and maintain Kubernetes-based platform services and CI/CD workflows
  • Identify and automate recurring operational issues to improve stability
  • Provide operational support in a you-build-it-you-run-it culture, including incident response
  • Apply platform security and controls via infrastructure as code and policy-as-code
  • Continuously expand knowledge of cloud-native technologies and practices
  • Leverage enterprise AI coding assist tools to improve code quality and productivity while maintaining peer review and security standards
  • Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation value
Key requirements
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
  • Hands-on software development, testing, and troubleshooting experience
  • Proficiency in Go, Java, or Kotlin
  • Understanding of agile methods, CI/CD, and secure development practices
  • Foundational knowledge of cloud and container tech, Kubernetes concepts
  • Willingness to learn cloud-native platform engineering on major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
  • Experience using enterprise AI-assisted development tools with ability to evaluate outputs
  • Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows
