Software Engineer III – Data Engineering- Corporate Know Your Customer

Overview

In this role you will develop secure, scalable data-intensive software as part of a corporate data engineering team. You’ll help shape a trusted Global KYC and Risk Assessment Data Platform and collaborate across teams to set architecture and engineering standards. You will deliver high-impact solutions that scale and support enterprise portfolios, while fostering a culture of innovation and inclusion. You will work closely with stakeholders and senior leaders to drive dependable, industry-standard practices and value.

Responsibilities
  • Develop secure, production-quality code for data-intensive applications
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews and guidance
  • Create reusable software frameworks and patterns for cross-team use
  • Drive adoption of advanced methods and industry-standard practices
  • Advise cross-functional teams on technology within the domain
  • Apply SDLC tools, including AI-assisted development and automation
  • Enhance automation at scale to increase value and efficiency
  • Lead architectural decisions and engineering practices across teams
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions
  • Champion best practices in software development and data engineering
  • Support a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement
Key requirements
  • Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability at enterprise scale
  • Expertise in Python and/or PySpark
  • Depth in cloud, AI/ML, or data engineering disciplines
  • Experience with large-scale data processing, microservices, API design, Kafka, Redis, MemCached, observability tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana), and orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Temporal)
  • Advanced knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, vector stores, data lake architectures, and data governance
  • Practical cloud-native experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Ability to present and communicate effectively with senior leaders and executives
