Overview

As a Software Engineer III on the Commercial & Investment Bank Technology team, you contribute as a core technical contributor on an agile squad delivering secure, scalable products. You will design and implement full-stack solutions, collaborating with product and UX to ensure accessible, high-quality experiences. You’ll own end-to-end delivery from design to production support, while strengthening operability, security, and performance. You’ll also apply enterprise AI-assisted development tools with peer review and secure coding practices, helping drive innovation at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver robust full-stack solutions using Java/Spring Boot and React/TypeScript while meeting security, resiliency, and performance requirements
  • Partner with product and UX to refine requirements and deliver intuitive user experiences
  • Contribute to end-to-end delivery across the SDLC with clear accountability for outcomes
  • Build secure, production-ready UI using React, HTML, and CSS with reusable components
  • Develop backend services and APIs with relational databases and enterprise systems, contributing to architecture artifacts
  • Contribute to event-driven and streaming architectures using Kafka with proper schema/contract strategy
  • Support containerized delivery and CI/CD pipelines using Kubernetes
  • Build and support scheduled and background processing (e.g., Spring Batch)
  • Support incident response, root cause analysis, and observability to reduce repeat incidents
  • Leverage AI coding assist tools within the work environment and validate outputs through review and testing
  • Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation value
Key requirements
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
  • Hands-on experience in system design and software development in a large corporate environment
  • Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot; strong React with TypeScript experience
  • Experience building and consuming APIs (REST/GraphQL) and integrating with downstream systems
  • Strong SQL skills with Oracle or PostgreSQL; experience with Redis caching
  • Experience with testing practices and code reviews
  • Familiarity with CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins) and Kubernetes
  • Experience with scheduled/batch processing (Spring Batch)
  • Working knowledge of Elasticsearch
  • Experience with enterprise AI-assisted development tools and responsible AI use
