Software Engineer III - Full stack Java

As a Software Engineer III within Corporate Technology, you apply full stack skills to design, build, and evolve resilient applications that support controls and operational risk across Finance, Risk Management, HR, Compliance, and Legal. You contribute to architecture and translate requirements into robust technical solutions that meet performance, security, and scalability demands in a regulated enterprise. You collaborate with cross‑functional partners to shape scalable corporate systems and strengthen the firm’s technology controls agenda. • Design and deliver full stack applications using Java 8+/Spring Boot microservices and Angular 6+/REST APIs
• Build and evolve microservice-based architectures with robust design patterns
• Write clean, testable code with automated testing and participate in peer reviews
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, and controlled release processes
• Troubleshoot production issues with root-cause analysis to reduce operational risk
• Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, and engineers to deliver usable, scalable solutions
• Contribute to shared standards, templates, and components to accelerate delivery
• Leverage enterprise-approved AI coding assist tools while ensuring secure coding and peer validation
• Apply SDLC tooling knowledge, including AI-assisted development and automation, to boost value of automation

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
• Hands-on experience with Java 8+ and Angular 6+; Spring/Spring Boot microservices and well‑designed REST APIs
• Proficiency in TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with strong UX focus
• Ability to write clean, testable code with automated testing and participate in code reviews
• Understanding of microservices, design principles, and enterprise tradeoffs
• Experience with modern SDLC toolchains, CI/CD, branching, and release discipline for regulated environments
• Awareness of secure coding practices, API security, access control, and resilience in enterprises
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with distributed teams
• Hands-on experience with enterprise AI-assisted development tools and ability to evaluate outputs
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and secure handling of inputs/outputs
