As a Software Engineer III in Risk Technology, you join an agile team to design and deliver trusted, scalable technology that supports risk management objectives. You will contribute across the full stack, from React and TypeScript frontends to Java and Spring Boot backends, driving secure and high-quality production code. You’ll collaborate with product and design to build accessible features and scalable services, shaping technical direction and impact within a leading financial institution. Responsibilities- Solve design, development, and debugging tasks to deliver scalable software systems
- Produce secure, high-quality production code and maintain synchronization with related systems
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex apps across the SDLC
- Build full-stack features with product and design partners for high-quality UX
- Develop web interfaces with React and TypeScript using reusable components
- Ensure accessibility best practices in UI implementations
- Design and implement backend services and APIs with Java and Spring Boot
- Analyze large data sets to develop visualizations and reporting for improvement
- Identify hidden data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contribute to engineering communities of practice and explore new technologies
- Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve quality and speed, with peer review and secure coding checks
- Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge, including AI-assisted development and automation, to boost value
- Formal training or certification in software engineering
- Hands-on experience in system design, development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot or similar frameworks
- Strong frontend experience with React and TypeScript
- Experience with design systems and component libraries at scale
- Knowledge of web accessibility principles and accessible UI patterns
- Experience in large-scale coding and database querying languages
- Solid understanding of agile practices, CI/CD, resiliency, and security
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and evaluating AI outputs
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure data handling
