As Software Engineer III, you design, build, and modernize authentication and authorization platforms that serve enterprise clients and institutions. You will collaborate with a global team to deliver secure, scalable identity solutions across channels, aligning with open standards. You’ll evaluate and prototype authentication tools, integrate OAuth2/OpenID Connect/SAML, and contribute to secure coding practices. This role offers impact at scale, shaping resilient identity infrastructure for a leading financial services firm.
Responsibilities- Design secure authentication and authorization solutions across customer-facing channels and enterprise platforms
- Modernize identity and access management systems with standards-aligned frameworks
- Evaluate and prototype internal and vendor authentication solutions (anti-fraud, biometrics)
- Integrate APIs and SDKs for niche and open standards like OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to deliver high-quality, business-valued outcomes
- Drive quality and efficiency through strong engineering practices and code standards
- Contribute to technical direction by modeling high design, development, and testing standards
- Leverage enterprise AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, with peer review and secure coding checks
- Apply SDLC tooling and automation to maximize automation value
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- Proficiency in one or more general-purpose languages, with strong preference for Java
- Experience with application and data architecture, design patterns, and business process integration
- Familiarity with cloud-native development on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Ability to collaborate across local and global teams
- Flexibility to work across multiple tech stacks and environments
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools and ability to critically evaluate AI outputs
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, security, and resiliency
