Overview

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Global Finance Technology, you are a seasoned member of an agile team delivering trusted, scalable technology in a secure environment. You design and implement solutions across multiple domains to support the firm’s objectives, balancing speed with reliability. You’ll work with AI-assisted development tools, contribute to architecture, and drive continuous improvement through data insights. Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions beyond routine approaches
  • Produce secure, high-quality production code and maintain key algorithms
  • Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools; participate in peer reviews, testing, and secure coding standards
  • Utilize SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to enhance automation and delivery value
  • Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure constraint adherence
  • Analyze large, diverse data, build visualizations and reporting to improve software and systems
  • Identify hidden data patterns to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture
Key requirements
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience
  • Hands-on system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience coding in one or more modern programming languages and with database querying languages in a large corporate setting
  • Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools and ability to validate AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
  • Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and mentoring peers on safe usage
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Solid grounding in agile methods including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
