Software Engineer III – Python, AIML, AWS, EKS

Overview
In this role you will help design and deploy production-ready ML solutions inside JPMorgan's Applied AIML group. You will work with Data Scientists to build cloud-based frameworks for hosting models and ensure secure, scalable delivery across platforms. You’ll contribute to an agile team across multiple technical areas, aligning with firm objectives and platform standards. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on delivering trusted AI-powered capabilities at scale. You’ll collaborate with platform teams and drive continuous learning and practical, secure implementation.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain high-quality, secure Python applications on AWS
- Create architecture and design deliverables
- Integrate AIML solutions into complex operations processing systems
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile planning
- Collaborate with SRE and production monitoring teams to ensure reliability
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events
- Embrace continuous learning and problem-solving with a can-do attitude
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent training)
- Hands-on Python application development
- Production-grade software development experience
- Understanding of software development best practices, including version control, testing, and CI/CD
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with MLOps
- Experience evaluating AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security
- Understanding of responsible AI in engineering workflows
