Software Engineer in Test

We're looking for a Software Engineer in Test with a strong testing mindset to build a backtesting and test automation framework around an in-house trading system. We're looking for a Software Engineer in Test who understands how to design robust, scalable frameworks and can turn complex scenarios into automated, repeatable tests.

What you'll be doing

You'll be building a framework that transforms backtesting scenarios into automated tests.

The platform will effectively be treated as a black box , meaning you'll focus on observable inputs, outputs, and event-driven behaviour.

Contract Length: Initially running till end of year

Hybrid working, offices in London

You’ll be responsible for building a framework capable of:

• Processing large volumes of data
• Supporting parallel test execution (around 20 concurrent tests)
• Managing event-based behaviour and automation pipelines
• Creating maintainable, scalable automated test scenarios
• Making it straightforward for non-developers to add new tests
• Experience building a backtesting framework or automation framework
• A strong understanding of automated testing architecture
• Experience working with event-driven systems
• Experience running tests in parallel and handling high data volumes
• Financial services experience is highly preferred
