Software Engineer - Infrastructure

Overview
As part of Neo4j’s Aura Infrastructure team, you design, build, and operate core cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure that powers the Aura managed graph platform. You work across multiple clouds to deliver resilient, scalable systems and automate day-to-day operations. You collaborate with product and other teams to turn requirements into robust, production-grade infrastructure. This role offers impact at scale and a chance to shape a cloud-native platform used by many customers.
Responsibilities- Design, develop and implement processes, tools and documentation to improve the core cloud infrastructure for Neo4j’s managed graph platform
- Collaborate with teammates, peers across other teams and Product Managers to understand, prioritise and build features for internal and external use
- Handle day-to-day operations of the infrastructure
- Build resilient and high-availability cloud infrastructure on GCP, AWS and Azure
- Investigate operational issues across Kubernetes, cloud networking, compute, storage and logging, and develop automated solutions to prevent recurrence
- Experience working in a 24/7/365 service environment
- Expertise in one or more CSPs: AWS, GCP, Azure
- Production software experience in Go or similar language
- Production Kubernetes experience
- Knowledge of Kubernetes resources (Pods, Deployments, DaemonSets)
- Experience with stateful workloads (StatefulSets, PVC, PV)
- Knowledge of the operator pattern and extending the Kubernetes API via Custom Resources
- Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Crossplane, Config Connector, AWS Controllers for Kubernetes, Azure Service Operator)
- Experience with VMs, Linux, networking and storage
