Overview

In this role you will design, develop and maintain secure Java applications for mission-critical defence projects. You will work within Agile teams to deliver cloud-native solutions on AWS, with containerised deployments. You’ll contribute to architecture discussions and help ensure secure, scalable software. This opportunity offers progression from junior to senior levels within a growing organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and maintain Java-based applications
  • Build and deploy solutions in AWS environments
  • Develop containerised applications using Docker
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
  • Contribute to secure and scalable software architectures
  • Adhere to best engineering practices
Key requirements
  • Commercial experience developing Java applications
  • Experience with AWS cloud technologies
  • Strong knowledge of Docker and containerisation
  • Experience in Agile delivery environments
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Active SC Clearance
  • Eligibility for Enhanced Developed Vetting (eDV)
