Software Engineer, Marketing Technology

In this role you will build and maintain marketing web integrations and data pipelines to enable personalised, data-driven customer experiences. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to implement consent handling, event tracking, and integrations with tools like Braze and OneTrust. The role supports faster, more reliable marketing tech activations and targeted customer engagement. You’ll contribute to production code, instrumentation, and data models that power marketing decisions at scale.

• Implement and maintain marketing scripts and SDKs, including consent checks and responses to consent changes
• Apply targeted JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Next.js updates for consent, preferences, and event tracking
• Instrument and validate page views, navigation, forms, and customer interactions; troubleshoot events
• Build and support integrations between the website and tools like Chord, Braze, OneTrust via APIs and webhooks
• Develop SQL and dbt models to turn customer and event data into reliable datasets for engagement
• Support reverse ETL pipelines delivering customer data from Snowflake to downstream tools like Braze
• Test consent behavior, browser compatibility, data accuracy, and performance of marketing integrations
• Participate in code review, documentation, testing, deployment, and production troubleshooting; coordinate with Web Platform and web product teams

• Hands-on software engineering experience with a track record of delivering scoped changes
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL
• Experience with React or similar web framework and understanding of browser/server-rendered apps
• Experience building or troubleshooting REST API integrations; Git; debugging tools; automated tests
• Familiarity with browser events, cookies, consent states, and accurate customer data
• Ability to work from the Glasgow office 3 days per week
