Software Engineer (Mid-Level)

As a Senior Software Engineer in Visa’s Product Reliability Engineering team, you design and deliver agentic and AI-driven solutions at global scale to predict and prevent real-time reliability issues. You’ll work within a multi-functional, full-stack squad to shape scalable, secure software that touches a large portion of the world’s population. The role combines hands-on development with cross-team collaboration to advance Visa’s standards in reliability and performance. You’ll have opportunities to mentor others and experiment with innovative tech like GenAI in a fast-paced fintech environment.

• Build agentic solutions and real-time AI/ML capabilities to monitor and prevent reliability challenges at scale
• Design and implement scalable, secure services and platforms that meet Visa’s global standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce design artifacts and software delivering high-quality commercial products
• Contribute to reliability improvements, new operations flows, and sustainable service technology across agile squads
• Mentor team members and pursue ongoing learning and experimentation while delivering measurable impact

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with building and deploying modern services and web applications with scalability
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Go, Python, Scala, JavaScript, .Net)
• Experience with microservices architecture using HTTP/REST/JSON
• Relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Proficient with Git, Maven, Jenkins
• Experience with Kafka or similar streaming platforms
• CI/CD and automation tooling, logging and monitoring
