Software Engineer, Money Movement

In this backend/front-end-leaning role within Stripe’s MaaS group, you will design, build, and maintain APIs and services that enable billions of money movement requests. You will work with cross-functional partners to shape product changes and scale systems that impact thousands of engineers and millions of users. You’ll troubleshoot production issues and mentor peers to raise engineering standards, while collaborating in a distributed, hybrid team. This is a chance to shape money movement capabilities globally and contribute to Stripe’s mission to increase the GDP of the internet.

• Scope, design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and large-scale systems for money movement
• Debug and resolve critical production issues across services and stack levels
• Mentor engineers to support their growth
• Engage with users to inform product changes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver features at scale and improve engineering standards
• Work effectively in a distributed, hybrid team with strong communication

• 2-12+ years of industry software engineering experience
• Strong coding skills in any programming language (language-agnostic interview process)
• Strong collaboration and cross-workstream teamwork
