Overview

In this backend-focused role you build secure, scalable microservices and APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS. You own features end-to-end, contribute to design and standards, and collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into robust solutions. Responsibilities
  • Design, build, test, and improve backend services and APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS.
  • Own well-defined features from planning through release, including code quality, deployment, and production support.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to turn requirements into reliable solutions.
  • Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews, and engineering standards.
  • Use AI tools to speed up research, coding, debugging, testing, and documentation with sound judgment.
  • Improve monitoring, reliability, and day-to-day development practices to keep systems secure and observable.
Key requirements
  • 3 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience in an agile environment.
  • Strong backend development skills with Node.js and TypeScript, including API/microservice experience.
  • Experience with React or Angular in a product engineering environment.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native development, testing, and deployment practices.
  • Comfort with SQL databases, Git, Docker-based workflows, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Practical understanding of AI-assisted engineering tools with privacy, security, and quality considerations.
  • Clear communication, collaborative mindset, and ability to contribute ideas in technical discussions and code reviews.
