Overview

In this role you join the Unity Studio team to ensure a high-quality, browser-based real-time 3D authoring tool. You work within a fast-moving, cross-functional group to own testing end-to-end and help ship features with confidence. You collaborate with engineers, designers and product managers from day one, applying hands-on manual and exploratory testing and contributing to quality improvements. This role offers ownership of testing for specific features and a chance to shape how quality is approached as Unity Studio scales. The opportunity centers on validating web-based 3D collaboration workflows at scale while aligning with the team’s mission to evolve Studio into a universal web hub.

Responsibilities
  • Perform manual and exploratory testing across features and releases in an agile team
  • Own the QA process for assigned features from requirements to sign-off
  • Create and maintain test cases and scripts to ensure coverage
  • Manage the defect lifecycle: logging, tracking, escalating, and verifying fixes
  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to review requirements, surface risks, and craft test plans
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies and cross-team collaboration to ensure quality
  • Contribute to process improvements to raise the team’s quality standards
Key requirements
  • Understanding of testing methodologies and test plan organization
  • Experience writing and executing manual test cases aligned with project scope
  • Proven QA testing experience on web or mobile apps
  • Experience with defect management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage workload with escalation when needed
