Overview

As a QA Engineer on the Unity Studio team, you will own end-to-end quality for Unity’s browser-based real-time 3D authoring tool. You’ll work in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment, collaborating with engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver a high-quality, web-based collaboration hub for Unity projects. You’ll drive testing across features, surface risks early, and shape quality processes as the team scales. This role offers hands-on testing, ownership of QA strategy, and meaningful impact on product quality.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out manual and exploratory testing across features and releases in an agile team
  • Own the QA process for assigned features from requirements to sign-off
  • Write, manage, and maintain test cases and scripts for coverage
  • Manage defects throughout their lifecycle – logging, tracking, and verifying fixes
  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to review requirements, surface risks, and create test plans
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, retrospectives)
  • Collaborate with broader QA and all departments to ship with quality
  • Contribute to process improvements and raise the quality bar across the team
Key requirements
  • Good understanding of testing methodologies, test plan organisation, and technical requirements
  • Experience writing and executing manual test cases
  • Strong QA testing experience on web or mobile applications
  • Experience with defect management and bug tracking tools such as JIRA
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage workloads, and escalate where required
  • Comfortable collaborating across teams and communicating with both technical and non-technical colleagues
