Join Elekta’s R&D team in Crawley to design, develop and test real-time software powering next‑gen radiotherapy systems. You will contribute across the software lifecycle, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, precise cancer treatment solutions. Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain real-time control software for Elekta radiotherapy systems
  • Design and implement robust, high-quality solutions meeting performance, safety and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers and architects to deliver new features
  • Contribute to software quality via testing, code reviews and continuous improvement
  • Support technical planning, estimation and delivery of development work
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation in line with development processes
  • Share knowledge and foster a collaborative engineering culture
Key requirements
  • Experience developing software for real-time or embedded systems using C/C++
  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience in an R&D or product development environment
  • Collaborative approach and passion for high-quality software
  • Experience in medical devices, control systems, Agile development or regulated environments is advantageous
