Software Engineer Reporting Vancouver

Build reporting software at Xero in Vancouver, using data-intensive systems and complex queries to improve financial performance insights. This is a hybrid role.

As a Software Engineer, you will deliver reliable production software for customer-facing reporting experiences and shared platform capabilities. You will work with relational databases, performance-sensitive queries, automated checks, and financial data correctness. Your work will help customers explore data, shape reports, and trace results to transactions. The Reporting team also supports Payroll, Tax, and Inventory through shared foundations.

• Build flexible reporting experiences for business data exploration
• Improve reporting engine performance as data volumes grow
• Keep calculations accurate when source transactions change
• Create shared capabilities for calculations, permissions, and performance
• Own delivery from investigation through production support

Requirements:

• Strong software engineering and production delivery experience
• Experience with data-intensive systems or relational databases
• Ability to build automated checks for correctness
• Ability to assess trade-offs in ambiguous problems
• Clear collaboration with Product, Design, and engineering partners
