Overview

In this role you will design, develop and integrate software for SDA-related projects, supporting space surveillance and traffic management initiatives. You join a multidisciplinary UK team in a fast-paced, delivery-driven environment. You will build Java micro-services and RESTful APIs, implement automated tests, and collaborate across engineering and customer-facing stakeholders. The work blends innovation with mission-critical systems, with security clearance considerations.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and maintain Java micro-services in an agile setting
  • Develop and evolve RESTful APIs using OpenAPI and JSON
  • Implement automated tests across levels to ensure robust delivery
  • Integrate software components such as databases, workflow/orchestration and messaging
  • Assist troubleshooting, defect resolution and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with engineers, testers and stakeholders, including work at customer premises
Key requirements
  • Experience working on agile projects
  • Proficient in Java
  • Knowledge of automated testing
  • Strong experience in development and automated testing of Java micro-services
  • Recent experience developing RESTful APIs using OpenAPI and JSON
  • Excellent teamworking and communication skills
  • Pragmatic, adaptable and delivery-focused
  • UK national with ability to obtain security clearance (SC or above)
