Overview

In this role you will contribute across the software development lifecycle to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will work within the RMS IS – Technical Directorate to support upgrades, deployments, and integration activities, applying best practices and ensuring compliance. You may lead projects or act as a technical contact, guiding peers and coordinating with customers. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge software for customers and Lockheed Martin enterprises, with a focus on delivering robust, scalable systems. Responsibilities
  • Contribute to requirements analysis, design, implementation and testing across the SDLC
  • Support integration and test activities for system upgrades and deployments
  • Ensure software compliance through processes, procedures and tools
  • Guide projects to completion and mentor junior team members
  • Act as a prime technical contact in customer interactions
  • Plan and manage own workload to meet milestones
  • Represent the organization in technical customer engagements
  • Work within Gloucester/Cheltenham area on cutting-edge software solutions
Key requirements
  • Proficiency in Java or C++ or C#
  • SQL database design and secure interaction
  • Extensive software engineering experience in challenging environments
  • Experience with a wide range of software development tools/processes
  • Knowledge of software configuration management tools and procedures
  • Experience with software architecture, design, integration and test, and requirements verification
  • Excellent experience with Agile methodologies in fast-moving projects
  • Experience in Unix/Linux environments and cloud-based development
  • Strong customer and stakeholder management skills and ability to lead teams
  • Mentoring and junior staff development experience
  • Quick learner with strong interpersonal and communication skills
