Software Engineer - Unisys

Spencer Rose are urgently looking for a number of experienced Software Engineer with strong Unisys experience to join a technology team supporting a major Tier 1 banking client in Manchester.

Location: Manchester (Hybrid) - 2 days a week in the office
Contract: 6-12 months (strong possibility for extensions)
Day Rate: £#removed#pd Inside IR35

Key responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and enhance applications within a Unisys environment.
• Work closely with engineering, architecture and business teams to deliver technology solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across existing systems.
• Support application modernisation and integration initiatives where required.
• Produce high-quality, well-tested and maintainable code.

Key skills & experience:

• Proven commercial Unisys experience .
• Strong software engineering/development background.
• Experience working within large-scale, complex environments, ideally financial services.
• Good understanding of SDLC, testing and production support.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a regulated enterprise environment.
