Software Engineer (Virtualization)

You will design, develop, and advance AHV features within Nutanix's software stack, collaborating with open-source communities to improve reliability, performance, and security. You will lead feature development from concept to market and mentor peers, while working with cross-functional teams to solve datacenter management challenges. • Design, develop, and maintain AHV features with interaction with Open Source communities
• Drive reliability, performance, and security improvements for AHV
• Address datacenter management problems with innovative solutions
• Lead feature development from concept to market, coordinating with product, sales, and support
• Mentor other software engineers

• 2+ years of industry or equivalent research experience
• Rock solid coding skills in C and Python for enterprise-grade software
• UNIX/Linux proficiency and knowledge of OS internals
• Familiarity with x86, virtualization, storage and network management
• Experience with KVM and QEMU preferred
• Experience interacting with open-source communities preferred
• Rust and GoLang coding skills are a plus but not required
