Overview

As Software Engineering Lead for the Investigations team, you shape how investigators track fund flows and uncover insights in crypto data. You’ll guide a cross-functional team of product, data, and software engineers to deliver scalable tooling that accelerates financial crime investigations. You’ll set technical direction, drive meaningful product improvements, and mentor engineers to uphold high standards. This role offers impact at the intersection of cutting-edge tech and crypto security, with a focus on practical, user-facing outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and unblock the team by writing/reviewing code and sharing best practices
  • Make technically sound trade-off decisions aligned with business goals
  • Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to prioritize meaningful missions
  • Coach and develop team members to build problem-solving, self-sufficient engineers
  • Provide system overviews to new joiners to accelerate productivity
  • Participate in Lead meetings to share updates and best practices
  • Explain complex concepts to engineers, managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality delivery
  • Define and govern the use of AI coding tools, ensuring safe, ownable AI-assisted code before shipping
Key requirements
  • Led and mentored a team of 3–5 software engineers for at least 2 years
  • Strong TypeScript experience across backend (Node.js/NestJS) and frontend (React/Redux)
  • Proven ability to architect scalable UI and API solutions
  • Experience leading technical initiatives and maintaining high engineering standards
  • Knowledge of data visualization and libraries for network graphs and transaction flows
  • SQL experience and collaboration with data and application engineers
  • Strong communication and ability to explain technical ideas to diverse audiences
  • Collaborative and coaching mindset
  • Focus on delivering meaningful, user-centric results
