Software Engineering Lead C# .Net Azure - FinTech

In this role you will build and guide a high-performing engineering team to deliver on quarterly objectives while shaping a healthy culture. You stay hands-on technically, but your impact comes from developing people and delivering quality software. You’ll partner with Product, QA and Technical Leaders to align strategy and execution across hybrid and office environments, proactively mitigating delivery, technical and people risks. The role centers on customer-focused decision making and scalable Azure-based architecture, offering a meaningful opportunity to influence both people and product at scale.

• Build and lead a high-performing engineering team
• Own quarterly delivery objectives and ensure on-time delivery
• Mentor direct reports and manage performance and development
• Foster a sustainable engineering culture and remove blockers
• Balance hands-on technical work with people leadership
• Advocate for engineers through calibration and promotion processes
• Collaborate with Product, QA and Technical Leaders to align priorities
• Communicate clearly across remote, hybrid and in-person settings
• Identify and manage delivery, technical and people risks
• Focus on customer outcomes while aligning with business goals

• Experience leading and delivering complex projects
• Advanced leadership or mentoring skills with full management remit
• Extensive commercial experience with C# .Net
• Full-stack development awareness; React advantageous but not essential
• Strong understanding of modern software practices and Azure cloud architecture
• Customer-focused, commercially aware, data-informed decision making
• Ability to manage cross-team dependencies and collaborate with Product, QA and stakeholders
