Software Engineering Manager

In this role you deliver high-quality software solutions within a security-focused, government-facing team. You will work on bespoke capabilities that support customers and critical national infrastructure, collaborating with partners to align technical delivery with strategy. The position combines hands-on software engineering with team leadership and stakeholder engagement in a high-security environment. You will help shape technical roadmaps and drive delivery at scale, across diverse platforms.

• Deliver on the engineering strategy by producing well-tested software on time and within budget
• Own a significant area of technical responsibilities and define roadmaps
• Collaborate with customers to resolve complex technical issues
• Set technical objectives, delegate work, and influence stakeholders at senior levels
• Line manage a team of software developers and provide coaching
• Influence delivery direction with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Ensure high-quality software development lifecycle adherence and best practices
• Participate in resourcing discussions and technical direction at a senior level
