Software Engineering Manager Cloud Platforms

Lead Java cloud services, Python AI, and React engineering at OpenText while delivering the Image & Fax Aviator Platform. Guide Scrum execution across a newly formed team.

As Manager, Software Development, you will lead engineers and technical specialists across cloud services, document intelligence, user experiences, integrations, and platform operations. You will own delivery, quality, operational readiness, and people leadership. The role partners with Product Management and the Principal Engineer to turn strategy into executable plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Scrum execution, sprint planning, releases, risks, and dependencies
• Recruit, onboard, coach, and manage software engineers
• Establish standards across Java, Python, React, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms
• Drive secure development, testing, observability, and deployment automation
• Provide delivery, staffing, risk, and decision updates to leadership

Requirements:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years of direct engineering people leadership
• Experience managing SaaS, cloud-platform, or enterprise-software teams
• Strong knowledge of microservices, APIs, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
