Overview

In this role you will lead and grow a fast-moving engineering team that delivers secure, scalable microservices and AI-enabled software. You will work closely with Product, Security, DevOps, and peers to plan roadmaps, balance quality with velocity, and foster an environment where engineers own their work. You’ll stay hands-on to guide architecture, reviews, and trade-offs while promoting responsible AI practices. Responsibilities
  • Lead and coach a team of engineers with clear priorities, ownership, and growth goals
  • Collaborate with Product, Security, and DevOps to plan and deliver roadmap commitments
  • Improve delivery processes, planning, estimation, and engineering practices
  • Maintain technical depth to guide design, assess risks, and ensure secure, maintainable systems
  • Promote AI-assisted workflows that improve productivity while safeguarding privacy, security, and quality
  • Support hiring, performance conversations, and career development for the team
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • Experience leading projects and managing engineers in an agile product environment
  • Experience managing teams building cloud-native microservices on AWS
  • Strong people leadership and coaching skills
  • Backend expertise with Node.js, TypeScript, APIs, and SQL/NoSQL data stores
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD, observability, incident support, Docker workflows, and infrastructure as code
  • Practical understanding of AI-enabled engineering and LLM concepts including privacy, security, bias, governance, and cost
  • Clear communication with engineers, product managers, and senior stakeholders
  • Quality, security, and delivery mindset balancing business outcomes and team health
