Lead software engineering for Jobber’s SP Operations group, using full-stack architecture and people leadership to support remote work across Canada and the USA.

As Manager, Software Engineering, you will lead engineering teams supporting Jobs Teams and Service Provider operations. You will guide delivery of reliable, high-performing software while helping engineers develop their skills and careers. The role combines coaching, technical direction, recruiting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach engineers through goals, one-on-ones, feedback, and mentoring
  • Shape technical direction for a reliable, high-performing platform
  • Remove roadblocks and establish guardrails for quality delivery
  • Collaborate with Product, Business Technology, and engineering leaders
  • Participate in recruiting and hiring processes

Requirements:

  • Established software engineering and team leadership experience
  • Strong full-stack technical, design, and architecture background
  • Experience delivering quality software and impactful projects
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with AI tools and AI-augmented development rhythms
