Software Engineering Manager Platform Services

Lead full-stack engineering teams at Autodesk through distributed systems, scalable platforms, and hands-on technical leadership across horizontal services. Guide architecture and delivery for core technology platforms supporting reliable applications.

This seasoned Software Engineering Manager balances people management with software engineering leadership. You will guide complex architectural decisions, develop engineers, and shape technical strategy across core domains. The work spans backend infrastructure, microservices, RESTful APIs, and developer-friendly platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and support a high-performing full-stack engineering team
• Drive architecture for horizontal services and core technology platforms
• Design and scale distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs
• Own roadmap execution, planning, risks, and operational follow-through
• Partner with Product Management, Visual Design, and Engineering

Requirements:

• Three or more years managing and developing software engineers
• Ten or more years of total software engineering experience
• Strong computer science, architecture, and software design foundation
• Experience scaling distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Node.js
