Overview

In this role you will deliver high-quality, well-tested software as part of a specialist security team protecting critical national infrastructure. You will work closely with customers and partners to resolve complex technical issues and influence project directions. You’ll coach and mentor team members, helping raise capability across delivery. This is a security‑sensitive, on-site role with a clear impact on national and global digital safety, offering deep technical challenges and development opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver on the engineering strategy with on-time, on-budget software solutions
  • Apply a broad range of technical and management principles to complex work
  • Own delivery of a broad range of complex technical tasks
  • Collaborate with customers to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Influence customers and internal teams at project level
  • Provide technical coaching and mentoring to continuously improve team capability
Key requirements
  • Experience delivering software engineering projects
  • Experience in software development using at least one of: Python, C++, Objective-C, Java, C#, C
  • Ability to take personal responsibility, autonomy and ownership
  • DV security clearance (must hold and maintain)
  • Office‑based work with occasional travel to customer sites
