Overview
In this role you drive software that embodies Cisco’s Design Thinking Principles, prioritizing simplification and UX with secure coding and privacy at the core. You partner with design and product teams to shape customer-centric solutions and create technical designs and user-facing documentation. You bring innovative ideas to product and process improvements, scaling engineering practices across teams. You lead strategic initiatives, influence technical direction, and mentor engineers to deliver measurable impact.
Responsibilities- Lead major engineering initiatives and complex projects with cross-functional stakeholders
- Define technical vision and engineering priorities aligned to business goals
- Develop and implement software development lifecycle and agile strategies across teams
- Create and maintain actionable metrics to drive product adoption and engineering efficiency
- Collaborate with design, product management, and central PM teams to ensure shared view and control
- Chair and influence design choices across Cisco offerings and internal tooling as a product
- Mentor senior engineers and improve knowledge-sharing through searchable, connected information
- Produce and contribute to technical design and user documentation for end users
- Advanced technical acumen with advisor-level depth across engineering domains
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and scaling successful approaches
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
