Software Integration Engineer

Based at the Christchurch site in Dorset, this permanent Software Integration Engineer role sits within a multinational aerospace and defence organisation.

The successful candidate will build and configure Windows Server 2019/2022 alongside Windows 10/11 systems, integrating both commercial off-the-shelf and bespoke applications.

Responsibilities include fault finding and resolving production issues through to completion, adhering to established software engineering practices, and producing clear technical documentation.

Collaboration is central, with knowledge sharing and peer review forming part of daily work.

My client a multi-national Aerospace andamp; Defence organisation are looking for a Software Integration Engineer to be based out of their Christchurch site in Dorset.

What you''ll be doing:

• Building and configuring Windows Server 2019/2022 and Windows 10/11 operating systems.
• Integration and configuration of COTS and bespoke software.
• Adherence to software engineering practices
• Fault finding and resolution of issues in a production environment to a successful conclusion
• Producing clear and concise technical documentation
• Collaboration with other members of the team: sharing knowledge and peer reviewing others work
• Reporting on progress and providing feedback to team members and leadership
• Occasional travel to customer sites to support deployment, investigations and testing

Skills andamp; Experience:

• You''ll be able to use PowerShell and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit to install and configure COTS and bespoke software on Windows 10 and Server 2019
• You''ll have knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and MDT alternate deployment approaches for deploying Windows 11 and Server 2022 (desirable)
• You''ll have knowledge and experience of Group Policy and Active Directory
• You''ll be able to produce clear technical documentation
