Software Licence Analyst

In this role you help deliver Software Licence Management services, turning licence and entitlement data into insight for compliance, renewals and service delivery. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and work closely with licence managers to ensure accuracy and optimisation. The role offers hands-on experience with major technology vendors and a clear path to build licensing expertise in a collaborative environment. A strong data mindset and attention to detail will drive cost savings and improved utilisation.

• Maintain accurate licence, entitlement, contract, application and renewal records
• Collect, validate and reconcile inventory, discovery, usage, purchase and entitlement data
• Use Snow or equivalent tools to support licence positions, compliance checks, metering and reharvesting
• Produce reports, dashboards, data extracts and evidence for service reviews, renewals and audits
• Identify unused software and opportunities to improve licence utilisation
• Respond to routine customer and internal queries and escalate complex licensing or commercial matters
• Collaborate with service, customer, procurement, tooling and reporting teams to deliver a dependable service

• Experience in Software Licence Management, software licensing, IT service operations or related analytical role
• Working knowledge of software licensing concepts; exposure to Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Adobe or Veritas beneficial
• Confidence with data, spreadsheets, reporting or licence-management tools; strong attention to detail
• Understanding of discovery, inventory, entitlements, reconciliation, software usage and reharvesting
• Organised, customer-focused approach with clear communication and issue escalation
• Ability to own assigned analysis while collaborating within a team
