Software Manager

• Guide and manage the software engineering function to align with industry standards and company objectives
• Oversee design and development of embedded software and HMIs for vacuum equipment, driving innovation and efficiency
• Define engineering strategies for robust hardware/software integration to optimise performance and reliability
• Mentor and develop a high-performing engineering team and foster a culture of collaboration and technical excellence
• Collaborate with project management, hardware, test engineering, and manufacturing to ensure seamless project execution
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and emerging technologies
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering efficiency and product quality
• Provide expertise in architecture and delivery methodologies (C++, C#, Java, Python; Agile, Spiral, and V-model lifecycles)

• At least 5 years of managing software and IT teams or complex projects with successful delivery of scalable, user-centric software
• Experience coaching and developing engineering talent
• Strong stakeholder engagement, process optimization, and change leadership
• Background in complex enterprise environments with cross-functional exposure
• Ability to align software delivery with business strategy and long-term objectives
• Proficiency in vendor management, budgeting, resource planning, and risk assessment
