Summary: HRUCKUS is looking for an experienced Software QA Tester to test the DC Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) enterprise application, ensuring public safety and building a comprehensive digital government experience for residents, businesses, and visitors navigating the driver’s license process.

Position Description: The QA Tester will work in an Agile Team environment to perform software application testing, verify and validate application requirements, and support critical business functions. This includes requirements analysis, creating and executing manual and automated test cases, writing automated test scripts using frameworks like Selenium or ACCELQ, managing defects via Jira, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve internal and client-facing environments.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop test strategies, plans, and test cases (functional, automation, integration, regression).
• Execute manual and automated tests, track defects, and ensure resolution with proper documentation.
• Automate test cases using test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, ACCELQ, etc.).
• Write automated test scripts based on User Stories and develop a methodology.
• Collaborate with developers, project management, and business analysts to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform cross-browser and usability testing.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback.
• Document test results and maintain test artifacts.
• Use defect tracking tools like Jira and manage the defect lifecycle.
• Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate quick responses to changing project requirements.
• Directly interact with clients, managers, and end-users to analyze project objectives and capability requirements.
• Ensure and follow all DC Government security standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with Microfocus Test Tools ALM (6 Years)
• Experience with Jira (6 Years)
• Extensive experience in Testing Reports (10 Years)
• Good SQL skills to write SQLs to fetch data from PS tables, for validating table data and testing (10 Years)
• Communication with project management, clients, and other developers to ensure effective collaboration (10 Years)
• Candidates should be able to participate in the entire development lifecycle from design through deployment (10 Years)
• Ability to perform requirements review, write test cases, execute test cases, and create defects is essential (8 Years)
• Adapting functional business requirements/processes to technical solutions based upon enterprise application solution sets (6 Years)
• Experience with one or more of following: investment analysis, data warehousing, e-commerce, ROI analysis, HR analysis, info dissemination (6 Years)
• Experience with ERP management processes such as knowledge mgmt., supply chain mgmt., material mgmt., logistics, and procurement (10 Years - Highly Desired)
