As a Software Quality Engineer I, you will ensure high-quality Turnitin applications through automated and manual testing, shaping the test strategy, and advancing our CI/CD pipelines. You’ll collaborate with product teams to validate releases across platforms, identify risks, and drive quality improvements. You’ll explore AI-driven testing tools to boost efficiency and coverage while growing your expertise in QA architectures and test strategies. Responsibilities
  • Define and implement QA strategies, plans, and related assets with the Scrum team
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated and manual test cases across functional, regression, integration, and scale testing
  • Collaborate with development teams to validate functionality during releases on multiple environments
  • Investigate and triage defects; manage their lifecycle until resolution
  • Identify quality risks early in the Agile cycle and contribute to mitigation plans
  • Research and integrate modern QA tools and AI-driven testing capabilities to improve efficiency and coverage
  • Commit to ongoing professional growth in framework architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and test strategy design
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent with 4+ years in software quality engineering
  • Hands-on UI Web Automation and API Automation using Java, Python, Jenkins, Docker, Maven, GitHub
  • Strong understanding of STLC and QA concepts
  • Experience with CI/CD/CT tools (Jenkins, Git)
  • Practical experience in Agile (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Experience with AI-driven testing capabilities and modern QA tools
  • Nice to Have: UI Mobile Automation & Functional/Manual testing; Performance testing (e.g., JMeter); Familiarity with AWS services (S3, Lambda, EC2, CloudWatch) or security/accessibility testing
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams
