Responsibilities
  • Guide security across the full product lifecycle from concept to in-service support
  • Provide technical security advice on requirements, architecture, design patterns, coding standards and best practices
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies and frameworks for software projects
  • Conduct security assessments and risk analyses; identify vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies
  • Support continuous improvement of processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Maintain up-to-date security documentation and generate reports on remediation efforts
  • Develop leadership skills within a multidisciplinary software engineering team
  • Contribute to challenging and innovative projects within the sector
Key requirements
  • Experience developing complex software in Defence, Automotive, Aerospace, Telecoms, or similar sectors
  • Knowledge of software security standards, best practices, and risk management
  • Strong collaboration and technical leadership skills, with good communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Interest in emerging technologies and security challenges
  • Experience with embedded software or firmware is a plus but not essential
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a STEM field, comfortable working with engineers from other disciplines
