Overview

In this role you will design secure, scalable solutions for complex public-sector challenges, aligning with clients and delivery teams to translate requirements into practical designs. You will define architectural roadmaps, provide technical leadership, and ensure compliance with standards. You’ll work across cloud technologies, open standards and modern delivery practices to shape high-impact solutions. You will contribute to thought leadership and new service offerings, driving delivery from concept to fruition.

Responsibilities
  • Design innovative technical solutions addressing business, functional and non-functional requirements
  • Define architectural roadmaps for systems and business services
  • Translate complex requirements into practical solution designs
  • Document solutions using ArchiMate, UML and BPMN
  • Define architectural standards, principles and delivery guidelines
  • Advise stakeholders on technical options, risks and trade-offs
  • Provide design and technical leadership to development teams
  • Review deliverables to ensure quality and architectural compliance
  • Support solutions throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Contribute to thought leadership, practice development and new service offerings

Key requirements
  • Previous experience as a Solution Architect or in a closely related architecture role
  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, open-source technologies and open standards
  • Sound understanding of architectural concepts, methodologies and frameworks
  • Experience applying design patterns and architectural patterns
  • Knowledge of systems integration techniques and technologies
  • Experience addressing non-functional requirements such as security, performance, resilience, availability and scalability
  • Practical experience using modelling notations ArchiMate, UML or BPMN
  • Experience leading or providing technical direction to software-development teams
  • Strong quality-assurance skills, with the ability to assess technical deliverables
  • Experience working within both agile and traditional delivery environments
