You’ll collaborate with engineering teams to establish guardrails, reduce technical debt, and translate complex technical insight into business value. Responsibilities
  • Provide programme-level technical assurance and architecture design to minimise debt
  • Create and validate architecture artefacts such as Key Design Decision notes and High Level Design
  • Lead SME-type guidance with engineering teams to define vision and architectural guardrails
  • Support senior leaders with cost estimation and detailed planning
  • Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders following agile practices
  • Contribute to internal projects and client-side problem solving
  • Navigate hybrid work arrangements, including client sites
  • Promote values-driven, client-centric delivery
Key requirements
  • Proven experience leading architecture and development teams delivering end-to-end solutions
  • Strong understanding of Energy and Utilities sector (water, gas, electricity, oil, gas, or nuclear)
  • Experience with enterprise systems (IBM Maximo, SAP, Billing, CRM) and operational technologies (SCADA, control systems)
  • Ability to shape and communicate architectural strategies across multiple domains
  • Skilled at building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Familiarity with architecture frameworks and modelling tools (UML, ArchiMate)
  • Relationship-building with senior stakeholders
  • Clear communication of technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strategic thinking and business value framing
  • Cloud and platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, IBM, Oracle, Salesforce
  • Architecture delivery: Microservices, cloud/on-premise models, agile delivery
  • Tools & Frameworks: IoT, cloud-native architectures, UML, ArchiMate
