Solution Architect - Inventory Management

In this role you will design and govern end-to-end inventory and supply chain solutions for a high-volume, multi-brand retail environment. You will align solutions with TOGAF-based standards and work across procurement, warehousing, logistics, and distribution within a FTSE 250 context. You’ll support ERP transformations (SAP/Oracle) and ensure scalable, compliant architectures for complex supplier models and perishables. This is a hands-on, governance-driven architecture position offering meaningful impact across the supply chain.
Responsibilities- Design end-to-end supply chain and inventory solutions spanning suppliers, distribution centres, and retail outlets
- Define inventory lifecycle management solutions, including shelf-life tracking and batch/lot traceability
- Produce and maintain architecture artefacts; define target and transitional architectures for supply chain capabilities
- Apply TOGAF-aligned principles and contribute to enterprise architecture standards
- Govern architecture patterns and guardrails; provide governance across delivery teams and vendors
- Support ERP and supply chain transformation programmes and ensure non-functional requirements are met
- Assist with vendor selection, RFP processes, and solution evaluations
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Domain Architect in supply chain and inventory environments
- Background in retail environments (multi-brand, high-volume, complex operations preferred)
- Experience designing or delivering inventory, stock, and warehouse management solutions
- Experience with ERP and supply chain platforms (e.g. SAP S/4HANA, SAP MM/WM/EWM, SAP IBP, Oracle, or similar)
- Experience in complex, global enterprise environments
- TOGAF certified (or equivalent enterprise architecture framework experience)
