Overview

As Solution Architect Manager, you lead a high-performing delivery team to shape and accelerate AI-driven digital transformation for strategic UK & Ireland customers. You combine deep technical leadership with people management and cross-industry influence to drive cloud-enabled modernization on Azure. You work with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful architectures and secure, scalable solutions. This role offers a strategic impact, shaping transformation at scale within Microsoft’s mission to empower every person and organization.

Responsibilities
  • People management: empower and coach delivery resources to achieve outcomes
  • Architecture design: apply reference architectures for analytics, AI, big data, IoT, BI and data platform modernization
  • AI: leverage knowledge of machine learning, data science, NLP, vision, and related AI domains
  • Software architecture: design high-level software structures and system principles
  • Security and compliance: follow secure-by-design principles
  • Cloud security: advise on SaaS/PaaS/IaaS security capabilities and tools
  • Network architecture: understand network components, configurations, and protocols
Key requirements
  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and substantial experience in technology solutions, architecture, and consulting OR equivalent experience
  • Proven track record in hands-on AI-driven transformation initiatives
  • Experience leading large-scale digital transformation programs leveraging public cloud adoption for application modernization or data platform strategy
  • Relevant technical sales experience (preferred)
  • Project management experience (preferred)
  • Experience managing multiple, complex projects or portfolios (preferred)
  • People-management experience including managing consultant or architect managers
  • Technical or professional certification in domain (e.g., AI or Azure architecture) (preferred)
