Job Description

What We Need

Brady Intelligent Productivity Solutions (IPS) is seeking a Solution Architect to join our team in the UK.

As a Solution Architect , you will provide primary technical pre-sales support to Brady IPS partners and end users across one or more assigned regions. You will be based in one of Brady IPS offices or work from your home office. The role requires regular travel, primarily to customer and partner locations.

This position would suit a focused and motivated Pre-Sales Consultant or Sales Engineer with a strong technical background in barcode data collection terminals, wireless technologies, and barcode readers. Knowledge of printers and Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, as well as experience with Microsoft and/or Android development technologies, would be considered an advantage.

The successful candidate will have a technical and inquisitive mindset, enjoy understanding how technology works, and be passionate about helping customers identify and implement solutions that address their business challenges.

In this role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, supporting customer engagements, pilot deployments, solution demonstrations, technical training, and pre-sales activities across Brady IPS's portfolio of mobility, data capture, printing, RFID, and software solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Establish strong relationships with customers and partners, becoming their trusted technical advisor and recommending the most appropriate solutions from the Brady IPS portfolio.
  • Provide technical pre-sales support for Brady IPS products and services, supporting customer evaluations and solution design activities.
  • Project manage and support pilot installations, coordinating activities with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring technical issues are addressed promptly.
  • Support customers and partners throughout the sales cycle by providing technical expertise and solution guidance.
  • Ensure assigned sales representatives understand the features, functionality, and value proposition of Brady IPS solutions.
  • Develop and deliver training plans in partnership with Solution Architecture leadership to ensure partners have the knowledge required to effectively position and support Brady IPS products.
  • Maintain accurate records of pre-sales activities within CRM systems, including projects, customer visits, product change requests (PCRs), technical requirements, and opportunity-related information.
  • Take ownership of data integrity and ensure all relevant pre-sales activities are documented appropriately.
  • Provide regular updates and performance reporting to the regional Solution Architect Manager, highlighting project progress, pilot status, customer requirements, and any factors that may impact business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer success and drive business growth across the assigned region.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related discipline, or equivalent experience in customer-facing technical sales support, pre-sales, or solution consulting environments.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting technical sales activities where understanding and analyzing customer business requirements was a key responsibility.
  • Strong pre-sales, sales engineering, or solution consulting experience.
  • Excellent customer presentation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Solid understanding of sales processes and customer engagement methodologies.
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to travel regularly to customer and partner locations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with barcode data collection terminals, barcode readers, and mobility solutions.
  • Knowledge of wireless networking technologies and network connectivity solutions.
  • Experience with label printers, printer languages, and printing technologies.
  • Understanding of Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solutions.
  • Experience with Android operating systems and development technologies such as Java, Kotlin, MAUI, or similar tools.
  • Ability to prepare customer development plans and business growth strategies.
  • Experience delivering technical training to customers, partners, or sales teams.
  • Full UK driving license.
