Overview

As a Solution Architect at Deloitte, you will lead the design and delivery of end-to-end technology solutions for Defence & Security engagements, aligning with business goals and security standards. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into architectural designs, evaluate platforms, and provide technical leadership. You will mentor development teams, conduct architecture reviews, and mitigate risks to ensure secure, scalable solutions. You will stay current with emerging tech and drive continuous improvement in a hybrid, multi-city environment (Bristol, London, Manchester).

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of end-to-end solutions aligned with goals and scalability
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Evaluate and select technology platforms, frameworks, and tools
  • Define solution architecture including components, interfaces, infrastructure, data modelling, and integration patterns
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams
  • Conduct architecture reviews and technical assessments to ensure compliance with guidelines
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the lifecycle
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure availability, performance, and security
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and propose continuous improvements
  • Collaborate with project managers to estimate effort and plan timelines
  • Drive innovation and explore new technologies to enhance development processes
Key requirements
  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role with a track record of delivering complex solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of system design principles, architectural styles, and methodologies
  • Understanding of secure system design
  • Proficiency in Java, .NET, Python, or JavaScript frameworks
  • Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Active UK Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance
