Overview

In this role, you design robust, scalable data architectures aligned to enterprise standards and lead data architecture at the project level. You collaborate with enterprise architects, the Chief Data Office, technology teams and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions. You embed governance and privacy-by-design while continuously improving architecture practices. Based in the UK (or nearby locations), you will help drive the data transformation agenda that supports a customer-driven, resilient insurance business.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver solution data architectures aligned to enterprise standards
  • Develop and maintain solution data models, dictionaries and integration designs
  • Support canonical data exchange across strategic systems
  • Act as project-level data architecture lead, guiding stakeholders
  • Embed data governance and Data Protection by Design principles
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data architecture practices and patterns
Key requirements
  • Advanced data modelling and architectural design skills
  • Hands-on data modelling tools experience (Erwin is highly beneficial)
  • Strong understanding of data integration patterns, middleware and database technologies
  • Knowledge of data protection, governance frameworks and secure design
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Purview or other data catalogue platforms
  • Experience with master and reference data management tools (e.g., Ataccama, Profisee)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including Databricks and Power BI
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience delivering solution-level data architecture across complex projects
